It's a pleasure to welcome you to my online studio.

For more than 15 years, I have been fortunate to be able to share my art with audiences and buyers in New York City and Washington, D.C.

These painting are my loving tribute to Mother Nature and women of color.

When I stand in awe of a beautiful flower, I see passion combined in form and color. Flowers are an amazing manifestation of life's energy. In creating these paintings, I am, of course, paying homage to Georgia O’Keeffe, who was the first artist to enlarge these small miracles of nature.

My portraits of women of color are a tribute to these beautiful, strong and mysterious women. I believe that more portraits of women of color need to be seen in the world — not simply their faces, but paintings that evoke their spirit, desire and hope.

I do believe beauty is a political statement. So much of the world is challenging, ugly, and in need of positive change. Input in the realm of positive energy on the personal level, as well as the global level, is an important way to help turn the tide. These paintings are my contribution.
